Michelle Ray
Michelle has a keen understanding of the importance of developing, appreciating, and advancing art in Modoc County. This comes from years of artistic discovery and expression, teaching, and learning from others. Above all, she understand artists’ needs and challenges – especially for funding and for practicality in the progression from idea to application. She is familiar and experienced with many forms of art and can assess costs for supplies, gauge community appeal, and make feasibility suggestions to the board. She has written several grants, and enjoys the process of writing, gathering accurate data on costs and equipment, and searching for new partnerships.
As a graphic designer, she has the skills and means to effectively promote programs, shows, and fund raisers.
Michelle will strive to bring artists of every walk of life into a cultural renaissance in Modoc County.
